Wigs for cancer patients come in all types, dependant on sensitivity of the scalp

We at Angel Wigs have many years experience in fitting and restyling wigs to suit the individual, this is very important for continual wearing as your piece has to be as comfortable as possible; this is done by trying many different types, for example:

Hand tied wigs are completely hand knotted all over but do not have much stretch to them so an exact fit is necessary,

Memory cap wigs are the latest technology in wig design where the cap moulds to your head after wearing.

Lace front wigs are the most realistic wigs if you prefer not to have a fringe, the fibre actually looks like it is growing out of the scalp. Machine weft with monofilament tops are also a favourite as the top looks just like skin these come with a parting or free style(able to wear either side parting). We cater for all ages including children, even though the choice for children is not as large as for adults, remember our stylist can change any wig to suit; we do have quite a large selection of small cap wigs for children as well as adults.

Wigs and pieces for alopecia clients like those for cancer need to be tried on to make sure you are making the right choice for style and colour, and to be able to have it customised is a must for partial covering or full coverage.

There are many things out now for partial baldness or thinning hair

• Toppers - a half piece that covers the top and either comes in short styles or long enough to cover back of head and longer.
• In-Betweenies - these are small pieces that clip onto the existing hair to fill in small or medium size patches.

Thinning hair pieces - Similarly, there are many things to help this problem on the market today. Just come along and visit us where our wig stylist will advise you to the best of her ability.
