There are many types of wigs which are suited to cancer sufferers, depending on the sensitivity of the scalp. Some women do not suffer any sensitivity whereas many do, so it is important you try on the many varieties that we have in our salon before making a purchase.

Over the years, wigs have vastly improved that they are practically undetectable. In fact, the pre styled synthetic fibre wigs are in many cases preferred by our ladies, as they find them low maintenance, even after washing they dry back into the style within a few hours. Also when one is caught in the rain, they stay exactly in style, without falling flat like real hair wigs and dry back in style on the head in no time at all.

With more and more women needing wigs and pieces for many reasons, the industry has had to come up with real looking and modern styled wigs and they certainly have done just that. We have, in our salon, a large, private fitting room, large enough to accommodate any guests you would like to bring for support, helping you to feel relaxed and not rushed. The following descriptions will give you an idea on the many choices favoured by our cancer sufferers.

HAND KNOTTED
This are wigs that are made entirely by hand and are very light to wear and helps keep your head cool. However, there is very little give in them so an exact fit is essential for comfort. We usually recommend these for our ladies that experience sensitivity of the scalp after receiving chemotherapy treatment.

MACHING MADE WITH MONIFILAMENT TOP OR PARTING
These are favoured by ladies that have an above average sized head but still want the real like base where it matters, on the top or at the parting. This makes the wig seem like real scalp at the base on the top for windy days or when one wants to change the parting, when possible. Some wigs come, what could be called, free style, when you can change the parting and some come set in a parting. Both are very comfortable and easy wearing.

TRU 2 LIFE WIGS
New to the UK this year they are the very latest HOT PRODUCT to excite us all, they can be straightened and curled as desired and they feel and fall like real hair. This  gives you the choice of having different styles regularly without having to purchase more than one wig, but we do recommend if you are to wear a wig every day, the best results for longevity of life span of your piece is not to wear the same one every day.
These wigs are fantastic and feel just like real hair at the fraction of the price of a real hair wig, they need to be seen to be believed.

LACE FRONT WIGS
Yet another new HOT PRODUCT to hit our country. These wigs come with a section at the front usually at the fringe area which is a material that the hair is knotted onto that becomes invisible once placed on the head making the hair look like it is actually growing from your scalp. Preferred by our ladies that choose not to wear their hair in a fringe or who like the fringe not to lay flat on the forehead and/or wanting a side fringe.

MEMORY CAP WIGS
These wigs come in Tru 2 Life and pre styled synthetic fibre, monofilament, lace front and non slip base strips. These wigs have it all, once wearing these wigs within an hour, the base forms to your head shape and remains that way thereafter. Amazingly comfortable and very realistic.
